Summary
- Palworld has amassed over 32 million players on various platforms so far.
- Palworld's popularity has continued thanks to content updates.
- The game is still in early access at the time of this writing.
Palworld has revealed that it has amassed more than 32 million players across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, a little over a year after its monumental launch. Developed by Pocketpair, Palworld is currently in early access.
Based on the sheer number of players Palworld attracted in its launch month, it's fair to say the monster-taming game was one of the breakout successes of 2024. Despite only coming out on PC and Xbox consoles initially, Pocketpair's open-world title sold over seven million copies within five days of launch. Eventually, Palworld made its way to PS5 and, more recently, to macOS. Following a remarkably strong performance in its debut year, Palworld recently shared the impressive number of players that have ventured into the Palpagos Islands so far.
One Palworld Feature is a Sleeper Hit For Quality of Life
Palworld has several impactful quality-of-life features, but the Feybreak update brought one that changes the scope of performance.
On Twitter, Palworld announced that it roped in over 32 million users across all platforms. Palworld's player count was understandably boosted by the slew of improvements and new content in its first year, including the positively-received Feybreak update.

It's worth noting that Palworld's big debut in 2024 came coupled with allegations of plagiarizing Pokemon. In fact, since September 2024, Pocketpair has been embroiled in a legal battle with Pokemon's part-owner, Nintendo. There were also reports that the Palworld developer's differences with Nintendo also delayed its PS5 arrival in Japan by nine days. By December, the legal face-off between the two parties extended to the US, courtesy of the Switch maker filing new patents, the latest of which surfaced earlier in February.
While Pocketpair may be at odds with Nintendo on the Palworld issue, it hasn't stopped the former from releasing games on the latter's platform. Back in January 2025, the Palworld team rolled out a card-based game called OverDungeon for the first time on Switch, after an initial 2019 launch on PC.
