Doing so would add a new element to gameplay, while also giving players the ability to give their Pals a distinct appearance that better matches their preferences than if they were to just use skins. The developer could even make it so that the equipment can be layered over the cosmetics, ensuring that skins aren't just cast aside.
With many people welcoming and appreciating the transmog feature, one can only hope that Pocketpair will expand on it in the future. T he roadmap for Palworld increases the likelihood of that happening, given that it states that various types of content will be added to the game, but only time will tell if the developer sees transmog for Pals or more outfit pieces that can be altered via transmog as things worth pursuing.
