In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, you are quite limited in how many items you can carry at once. At the beginning, you can only hold about 15 items, which can be quite low if you are one to pick up hidden items in the overworld frequently. Luckily, there's a way you can store any excess items you have so you don't miss out on any rare items or cooking ingredients.

If you are currently unsure of where you can store some of your items, this guide will show you exactly where you need to go. You will have an unlimited amount to store in these locations.

Stylish Moves are a great way to increase your Star Power in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Here's how you can perform them.

How to Store Items in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

If you are unsure about how to store items in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, you are not the only one. There is no point in the tutorial where you are told how you can store any excess items you pick up, so we will show you how you can do it.

All you need to do is visit any store in any area. This even includes the early location of the Toad Bros. Bazaar found in Rogueport next to the spot where you stepped on Zess T.'s contact lens. Head inside the store, and talk to any of the store owners inside. Afterward, you'll have a few choices:

  • I'm here to sell.
  • I'm here to store.
  • I'm here to withdraw.
  • Let's chat about points.

You can choose the second option, and you will immediately be taken to your stash of items. All you need to do is press A while hovering over the item you wish to store away, and it will be placed in storage for you. It seems there is no limit to how many items you can store, so you can put away as much as you want.

If you want to level up in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, you're going to need plenty of Star Points, but how do you get them?

How to Withdraw Items in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Now, you might be wondering how you can get your items back that you've stored away. As we mentioned before, while visiting any store, including ones in Boggly Woods, Rogueport, and more, you'll be given multiple prompts to choose from while chatting with the store owner. This time, you can choose 'I'm here to withdraw', and you'll be taken to all the items you have put away. Just press A to claim the item and place it back in your inventory.

Keep in mind that your stored away items will transfer to every store in the game, so if you store items away at one shop, you'll be able to withdraw them at any other shop. Always remember to save after you've picked up some rare items as well, so you don't lose them.
