How Does Mario Level Up In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door?

In order for Mario to level up, players will need to collect Star Points. These are dropped by enemies after they are killed, and once the player obtains 100, they are able to level up Mario. The maximum level in the game is 99, so players will need to collect almost 10,000 Star Points (9,900) in order to reach that level, which is certainly not required to complete the game.

Players will obtain a certain amount of Star Points per enemy killed, which will be measured based on what level that enemy is when compared to Mario. If players focus on killing enemies that are at a much higher level than Mario, they will level up much faster than if they killed lower-level enemies.

The Best Ways To Level Quickly

If players want to level up Mario quickly, they will need to kill everything. Be sure to kill an enemy any time one is encountered in the game. Even if they aren't as high of a level as Mario is, there is still a chance he will get a small number of Star Points from them, allowing him to slowly level up. However, there are other ways that players can gain Star Points and level up Mario. For instance, once players unlock the Pit of 100 Trials, they will be able to complete this area.

The Pit of 100 Trials has 100 floors, which will allow players to kill enemies and farm Star Points easily. Another great way to level up is to kill the enemy known as Amazy Dayzee, which can be found on the 90th - 99th floors of The Pit of 100 Trials, and in the Twilight Trail area of the game. These enemies need to be killed quickly, but they will drop a good amount of Star Points.
