After players find and unlock Ange as a Merchant in Path of Exile 2, they’ll find they’re unable to put up any items for sale in her in-game storefront, as the game asks players to purchase a “Merchant’s Tab” to employ her services.
Luckily, it is possible to acquire Merchant’s Tab relatively easily in the game, especially if you have previously purchased Premium Tabs from the store. Here’s the breakdown.

How to Get Merchant Tabs in Path of Exile 2
In order to sell items using asynchronous trade, players will need to acquire Merchant’s Tabs for Ange’s in-game trade store in Path of Exile 2. There are only two ways to get Merchant’s Tabs.
- Microtransactions Shop: Merchant Tabs can be bought using points in PoE 2. Purchasing a single Merchant’s Tab costs 40 points ($4), and buying a 6-Merchant’s Tab pack costs 200 points ($20).
- Premium Tabs Conversion: Any Premium Tabs purchased before the release of Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict (version 0.3) can be converted into Merchant’s Tabs via the official website.
Only Premium Stash Tabs purchased before the release of the asynchronous trade system in PoE 2 are eligible to be converted into Merchant’s Tab. If you purchase a new Premium Tab, you cannot convert it.
How to Convert Premium Tabs to Merchant Tabs in Path of Exile 2
The method of changing Premium Tabs into Merchant’s Tabs in PoE 2 is a bit complicated. Here’s what you need to do.
- Visit the Path of Exile 2 official website and link your game account.
- Open account settings by clicking on your name at the top-right corner of the page and selecting “My Account” from the dropdown.
- Click on “Merchant’s Tab Upgrade” in the left pane.

Under “Current Tab Allocations,” you will see all Premium Stash Tabs eligible to be converted into Merchant’s Tab.
- Click on “Upgrade to a Merchant’s Tab” on the tabs you want to convert to complete the process.
Converting Premium Tabs to Merchant’s Tabs is an account-wide change and will also affect characters from the Standard League. Items stored in a Premium Tab that has been turned into a Merchant’s Tab will not be destroyed, but will be placed in a “remove-only” state. The Tab will disappear once they are taken out. These items will not be listed on the PoE 2 trade website.
Additionally, converted Premium Tabs in PoE 2 will also be converted into Path of Exile 1 (if it was purchased there). Once GGG implements Merchant’s Tabs in PoE 1, the converted Tab will appear there as well.
How to Use Merchant Tabs in Path of Exile 2
After you’ve acquired a Merchant’s Tab, talk to Ange and place an item you want to sell inside. Use the drop down to decide on an asking price for the item and it will be automatically listed on the trade site. You'll be able to collect your profits from the "Earnings (Remove-only)" tab.
Players who want to buy said item will select the “Travel to Hideout” option from the trade site, which will directly teleport them to Ange’s shop, allowing them to complete the purchase without any input from your side.
To filter listings to only show items sold via the asynchronous trade system, put a value in the “Gold Fee” section of Trade Filters when searching. Only items put up for sale through Ange have a Gold Fee.
