During the Interlude chapter in the Vastiri Desert in Path of Exile 2, players will enter an ancient water reservoir where a secret Faridun sect is taking advantage of a Djinn to produce water. Taking that sect leader down will lead to the completion of this Act, but before you make a beeline straight for his head, you may want to look around for some Vials of Sacred Water first.

Vials of Sacred Water are quest items that drop only within the Qimah Reservoir in PoE 2, and as ironic as it sounds, these aren't actually tied to any real quests. Instead, you can use them on Sacred Wells inside the reservoir for some nice rewards.

How to Get Vials of Sacred Water in PoE 2

As of writing, we've found only two Vials of Sacred Water, and it's likely that two is the most you'll get during your campaign playthrough of this Interlude chapter after completing Act 4. You will most likely get your first Vial of Sacred Water randomly after killing an enemy. It can drop from any monster within the Qimah Reservoir, and while the exact drop rate is unknown, it shouldn't take long before you get one.

The second Vial of Sacred Water is a guaranteed drop from a chest guarded by Bloodbilge, a named mini-boss found somewhere inside the reservoir. Search the rooms, and when you find one with a large urn in the middle, interact with it to trigger the boss. Kill it, then open the chest behind it. The vial will drop alongside a bunch of other random gear and potentially, even more currency items.

Where to Use Vials of Sacred Water in PoE 2

As you're exploring the Qimah Reservoir, you'll come across some wells next to checkpoints. If you interact with these while you have a Vial of Sacred Water in your inventory, your character will pour the water into them. You'll get one Exalted Orb for doing so.

There are two of these Sacred Wells in the Qimah Reservoir, and you can only interact with them once. If you've used a Vial of Sacred Water on one well, you won't be able to use the second vial on it anymore, which means you'll have to find the second well within the reservoir if you want to get another Exalted Orb.

Exalted Orbs are a type of currency/crafting item that adds one extra modifier to any Rare (yellow) item, provided that it still has space to accomodate more modifiers. These are also commonly used as a currency for trading within the PoE 2 community, making it very valuable in large quantities.
