Every class in Path of Exile 2 uses Mana to cast spells or use abilities. Even a non-magic class such as the Warrior will use Mana quickly, making it as crucial of a resource as your HP.

Your Mana naturally regenerates constantly, though depending on certain stats and bonuses, you can make it regenerate much faster. You can also greatly increase your max Mana pool which are both crucial upgrades for builds that use a lot of spells or abilities; here's how to upgrade both.

How To Increase Max Mana In Path of Exile 2

Your Mana is represented by the blue orb on the right side of the screen. Your total Mana for the most part is determined by your character's Intelligence. Every point in Intelligence gives you +2 max Mana, and if you're playing a magic-focused class, your Intelligence will be your most important attribute to level up, as it also lets you unlock higher-tier spells.

Lots of passive skills in the Passive Skill tree give +5 to any attribute, and selecting Intelligence will give a +10 boost to your Mana. For the most part, Intelligence determined Mana, but there is still the chance you can find and equip gear that gives a bonus to max Mana or Intelligence, and rerolling bonuses can help make great gear even better.

How To Increase Mana Recovery In Path of Exile 2

Mana is regenerated every second whether you are in or out of combat. Your Mana recovery every second can be found in your character menu in the Mana section, second from the top. Your Mana Regeneration rate has a very low base regeneration no matter what class you choose to make sure you get Mana back, but ability-focused classes should increase your Mana Recovery rate just as much as you Max Mana through these two methods:

  • Bonuses found on gear, with Wands usually giving a Mana Recovery rate boost.
  • Passive skills, easily found by filtering for "Mana Recovery"

There are also other bonus abilities such as Arcane Surge through Support Gems that can be used to temporarily boost your Mana Recovery rate as long as certain conditions are met. While these can be helpful, it's more important to focus on your base Mana Recovery so that you don't have to worry about hitting certain conditions in combat to get back Mana.

Your Mana is also recovered through Mana Potions which can be upgraded, though this is a bit more limited than base Mana Recovery.
