For the launch of asynchronous trade in Path of Exile, GGG has allowed players to freely convert their Premium Stash Tabs into Merchant’s Tabs to make use of the new feature without purchasing anything new. However, the process may be unclear to players who aren’t familiar with the PoE website. Here’s the breakdown.
Only Premium Stash Tabs purchased before 8/30/2025, 1:00:00 AM GMT+5 can be upgraded to Merchant’s Tabs for free (per PoE website). Any purchases made after the aforementioned date are not eligible for conversion.

How to Change Stash Tabs to Merchant’s Tabs in Path of Exile
Premium Stash Tabs can be converted directly into Merchant’s Tabs in Path of Exile through the following process:
- Go here on the Path of Exile official website.
- Find the Premium Stash Tab you want to convert into a Merchant’s Tab under “Eligible Premium Tabs.”
- Click on “Upgrade to a Merchant’s Tab.”
- And you’re done!
Now, when you open up Path of Exile, you’ll find that one of your Premium Stash Tabs is now gone. Talk to the Asynchronous Trade vendor (Faustus) in your hideout and select “Manage Shop” to access your newly converted Merchant’s Tabs.
Place any item you want to sell in the tab, decide how much you want to sell it for, and it will be immediately listed on the trade website. Any interested buyers can then directly fast travel to your hideout, buy the item, and leave without any required interaction on your part. All currency obtained as a result will be stored in the “Earning (Remove-Only)” Tab.
If the Premium Stash Tab you converted into a Merchant’s Tab had items in it when it was converted, you will be able to retrieve those items from a “Remove-Only” version of said Premium Tab from your Stash. Once all the items are gone, that Premium Stash Tab will be removed as well.
All Tabs are shared between PoE 1 and PoE 2. So, if you convert a Premium Stash Tab to a Merchant’s Tab in Path of Exile 2, that decision will carry over to Path of Exile 1 as well (and vice versa).
Trading via the Premium Tabs in PoE still works as before; asynchronous trade is just an option for players who want something automatic.
