How to Get Into Simon's Study in Pathologic 3

Check the Clock

As previously mentioned, players who want to get into Simon's study should turn their attention to the clock that is attached to the door. More specifically, the short hands, which point to the two and nine, are of interest, as they indicate the time at which the door will unlock on the second day.

Quite simply, the clock's short hands indicate that 9 o'clock on Day 2 is important, and, indeed, players can enter Simon's study at that exact time. Notably, the in-game clock is in the 24-hour format, which means that players should be ready to open the door when the clock reads 21:00.

What is in Simon's Study in Pathologic 3?

A Temporary Dead End

While Georgiy indicated that the study was the site of Simon's death, there is nothing inside that suggests that the room is a crime scene. There is a burning cigarette, though, which seems to point to the idea that another person was in the "Focus" just before Dankovsky. Players can get a little more information about that person by speaking with the characters that now appear just outside Simon's study, though that information may lead to more questions than answers.

Additionally, players will encounter Maria Kaina upon exiting the Crucible, and she will have some very interesting things to say about Simon. Namely, Maria Kaina indicates that Simon is not dead and states that she saw Dankovsky speaking with him yesterday. While the Bachelor has no recollection of that meeting with Simon, the conversation with Maria Kaina definitely suggests that more will be revealed about Day 1 as players continue their Pathologic 3 playthroughs.

The tooltip that appears on the thought map after entering the study also suggests that more is to be learned about the room, saying that Dankovsky has "missed something." The tooltip is clear that the mystery of the study will not be solved on Day 2, though, and players should be prepared to return to it on another day.
