After a plane crash in PEAK, you will find yourself on a mysterious deserted island. Upon having a brief look around, you may come to the conclusion that no animals live here. However, in one of the locations players can visit, you can actually find some incredibly cute creatures.
Capybaras are the only animals you will encounter during the ascent, but depending on the map, doing so can be extremely difficult. For those struggling, here's how to find Capybaras in PEAK.

Where to Find Capybaras in PEAK
Instead of wandering around the map, capybaras in PEAK are always in one place, namely the hot spring. However, the hot spring changes its location with each daily map change, but it always spawns in the same biome. So, to find Capybara in PEAK, you need to first get to the ALPINE zone.
This zone regularly rages with snowstorms, which can freeze you and complicate the climb. As such, we recommend that you play on Tenderfoot difficulty. This will save you from time limits and reduce the consumption of stamina.
Once you get to ALPINE, move towards the mountain. Getting closer to the foot, you will want to look for small clouds of steam. By following them, you can easily find the location of the hot spring.
Depending on the map, the place you need can be both easily accessible and extremely hidden.
There is also an alternative and easier way to find Capybaras in PEAK, namely with the help of the community. In the official Discord server, players often share the locations of these cute animals. Using this method can save time, especially if you are unlucky with the current map.
How to Get the Animal Serenading Badge in PEAK
Although Capybaras are cute, you cannot interact with them in any way. The exception to this is the Animal Serenading Badge. To get it, you must play for Capybaras on a bugle. Luckily, any bugle will work for this badge, but we still recommend you take the one that spawns on the Shore since it is the easiest option.
Then, find Capybaras basking in a hot spring and play live music for them on any bugle. This will unlock the Animal Serenading Badge, and like most other achievements, it will reward you with equipment for your character, namely the Kril Hat.
