PEAK has quite a few badges that are sorts of challenges, rewarding players with new cosmetics. And many of them are related to surviving in the wilderness. So, in this guide, we will tell you how to get the Mycology Badge in PEAK.
This challenge requires you to eat various mushrooms. However, some of them may be poisoned, which will not kill you, but will prevent you from completing the challenge. It is worth noting that it is quite difficult to distinguish poisonous mushrooms from edible ones if you do not know what to look for.
PEAK: How to Find Capybara
Capybaras are the only animals you will encounter during the ascent in PEAK. Here's how to find them.
How to Unlock Mycology Badge
As the name suggests, the Mycology Badge is all about mushrooms. You can find them in the first two locations. And they are abundant in the Shore biome. To be more precise, to get the Mycology Badge in PEAK, you need to eat 4 different mushrooms in one run. However, the catch is that these must be 4 non-poisonous mushrooms.
Luckily, even if you eat a couple of poisonous mushrooms in this run, it will not prevent you from getting the badge. Since finding the right mushrooms takes a lot of time, we strongly recommend you do this challenge on Tenderfoot difficulty to get rid of the time limit.
And as soon as you eat 4 different non-poisonous mushrooms in PEAK, you will receive the Mycology Badge. The reward for this will be a fashionable Mushroom Hat.
PEAK: How to Restore Stamina
Climbing to the top of the mountain in PEAK requires a lot of energy, so maintaining your stamina is the key to success.
How to Distinguish Mushrooms in PEAK
There are 4 types of mushrooms in PEAK. Each of them looks different, so you can easily distinguish them from each other. In addition, when you hover over them, you can find out their names.
But even eating the same mushrooms, you can easily get poisoned. This is because 3 out of 4 types of mushrooms have poisonous versions. At first glance, they look identical, but upon closer inspection, they have different details.
As a real ranger, you can, of course, personally try each mushroom by examining it beforehand. It will take some time, but you will be able to find all the differences and learn how mushrooms are non-poisonous. But to save time, we recommend you use our table with all PEAK mushrooms.
