The journey to the summit in PEAK is always full of exhilarating challenges, whether you're embarking on a climb solo or with friends. Those challenges not only make reaching the end-peak all the more satisfying, but they can lead to some unique rewards in the form of badges to commemorate your achievements.
One of those badges in PEAK is the Knot Tying badge, which seems tricky in theory but is actually quite straightforward once you understand it. Here's how to add this badge to your sash.
How to Play With More Than 4 Players in PEAK
There's a mod out there that lets PEAK players host more than three friends. Here's how to install it.
What Are Badges in PEAK?
Badges in PEAK are a special tie-in to the game's series of achievements, as the badge you see on each achievement is displayed in-game on your character's sash. Obtaining each badge involves completing various kinds of in-game tasks and challenges during your runs. While some of those tasks are fairly simple in their objectives, others require completing exceptionally difficult feats, such as escaping the island (including all levels) in under an hour.
As you earn more badges, you'll also unlock more unique cosmetics for your character, adding even more incentive for collecting them. You can check your progress anytime via the Accolades menu in your Pause Menu.
How to Get the Knot Tying Badge in PEAK
To get the Knot Tying Badge (and respective achievement) in PEAK, you need to place 100 meters of rope in a single expedition. This means your priority is to get your hands on as many rope tools as possible. This includes regular Rope Spools and Rope Cannons.
Anti-Rope (such as the Anti-Rope Cannon) tools work as well.
You'll need an average of 8-10 rope tools total to pull this off, so make sure to check as many luggage cases as possible on each level. The earlier you can find them, the better. You can make the process even easier with a group, as your companions can cover more ground and search for more items. There's also more inventory space to carry more rope items.
If you're aiming to get as far as possible in the expedition, you'll still want to use these tools wisely rather than just anywhere for the sake of the achievement. It's a balance you'll need to figure out based on your overall goal. Either way, once you've placed enough ropes, the achievement should pop, and you can claim your badge at the end of the expedition. You'll also unlock the Ribbon Bow cosmetic for your efforts.
