What Does Dynamite Do in PEAK?

After the cannibalism update, PEAK was already pretty wild. And if you’ve been busy snacking on your friends, things just got even wilder with the new Mesa update. Players have many new items, a new monster, and even Dynamite. This is just another danger you will have to watch out for on your next climb.

The Scout Cannon, Balloons, and Aloe Vera are all interesting additions, but Dynamite is definitely the one catching everyone’s eye. So where can you find it, and what exactly does it do? This guide will answer all those burning questions.

How to Find Dynamite in PEAK (Dynamite Location)

You can only find Dynamite in the Mesa biome, which was added in the latest update. If you haven’t seen it yet, the Mesa is the new sandy area that took the place of the old Alpine biome. Since Alpine is gone, Mesa is now the third biome you’ll visit after Shore and Forest. So to find Dynamite, head over to the Mesa biome.

Before you head into the new Mesa biome, there are a few dangers you should know about. The biggest one is the blazing sun. Its heat can be brutal, so bring items like sunscreen or a parasol unless you want to get roasted out there.

PEAK fans also need to watch out for Antlions, who can be nasty if you are not careful. On the bright side, if you manage to survive an Antlion attack, you’ll earn the Megaentomology badge.

Once you step into the Mesa biome, you can find Dynamite lying on the ground. Unlike most PEAK items, you won’t find it in luggage boxes. Even though it’s dangerous, you can still pick it up. Its bright red color makes it easy to notice. But be quick about it, or it will blow up in your face.

It’s pertinent to mention that the Mesa biome is not always around. For the first week after the update, it completely replaced the Alpine biome. After that, the two will take turns appearing. If Mesa is not available, players won’t be able to find Dynamite at all.

What Does Dynamite Do in PEAK

Dynamite is exactly what it sounds like. It blows up, and it can hurt you a lot. It causes more harm than good, so it’s usually better to just leave it where it is. It can be picked up and then thrown for a good laugh and some chaos, but that's about it. There’s no achievement for using it either.
