There are a couple of side quests in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time that may require players to catch a type of bug; yeah, I'm talking about some creepy-crawlies. If you're on the hunt for some Penny Beetles, this guide will show you two spots (close to each other) that are guaranteed to have them for you to snag.

Here's all of the gift codes and passwords we've found so far for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
Penny Beetle Locations in Fantasy Life i
First Spot
For the first location where we managed to find a Penny Beetle, you need to head to Faraway Island, specifically the Valley of Spirits fast travel point. You'll unlock this area as part of the story in Fantasy Life i, so if you haven't made it there yet, keep playing.
From the fast travel point, head south towards the village exit and then west to find a cliff with a Leafe overlooking the ocean. On this path from the village to the cliff, we found a Penny Beetle hanging out on the side of the path, as seen in the picture above. If you want to try and farm the beetle at this spot, there's a chance it could respawn if you fast travel, sleep in bed, or restart your game file. We tried sleeping and returning, and sometimes the Penny Beetle would show up, and other times it would be a different type of beetle.
Second Spot
The next place where we managed to find a Penny Beetle is actually inside Spirit Road (the dungeon that has a secret entrance via a well in Lulab Forest). We have a dedicated guide to finding the entrance to Spirit Road, which you can read here.
But essentially, once you get inside the dungeon, there's a chance of finding at least one of these beetles on the ground. We found one hiding behind a couple of barrels, so be sure to look at every nook and cranny.
We also managed to find a Windfall Beetle sitting on a stump outside the exit of Spirit Road. You might need it for something later on! (You never know)
