Players can pull off some sick tricks in Skate by simply experimenting with the analog sticks on the controller. While some tricks are much easier to manage, some of them can be "tricky" to pull off, depending on how much playtime you have with the game. One of these tricks is called Crooked, which you can pull off while grinding on a rail. It's also required for one of the daily challenges called "Trick of the Day" in Skate 4. So, here's how to perform Crooked and complete the daily challenge.
How to Do the New Flight Launch Glitch in Skate (Season 1)
The popular launch glitch was patched in Skate season 1 update, but there's a new way to pull it off and fly in the game, here's how to do it.
How to Perform the Crooked Trick in Skate
Before we get into the Trick of the Day Crooked challenge in Skate, let's check out how you can perform it first. Crooked is a relatively easy trick to pull off if you've got experience with grinding on rails and balancing yourself as you go. If it's your first time, you'll need to find a rail or a clean edge that you can grind your skateboard on. Ensure the rail is straight and not turning in any direction to make your first attempt easier.
Once you've found an easy rail to grind, hop onto your skateboard and head towards it. As soon as you get near the railing, do an Ollie trick (flip Right-Stick Up) to start grinding.
- If you're grinding to the right side of the rail, slowly push the Right-Stick to the upper-right position to perform a BS Crooked trick.
- If you're grinding to the left side of the rail, push the Right Stick to the Upper Left position to perform an FS Crooked trick.
- If you're grinding atop a rail, simply push your Right-Stick into either Upper Left or Right position to do a regular Crooked trick.
You'll need to keep holding the sticks in the Crooked trick position to keep performing this trick until the grind finishes. Even if you don't land Crooked on a rail initially, you can still adjust your joystick mid-grinding to perform the crooked trick on the rail.
How to Complete Trick of the Day - Crooked Challenge in Skate
To complete the Trick of the Day - Crooked challenge in Skate, you'll need to perform the trick three times. You can simply head to the start menu, then to tasks. This is the daily challenges menu that will help you track how many times you've successfully pulled off the Crooked trick.
If you can't see the Tasks section in the menu, you'll need to complete the AR Mission Skater Eyes - Ripping for Rewards in Skate. It's the last mission you'll need to do before unlocking the City Challenges.
Once you complete the mission, your character will level up to rank 3. Now, you will be able to see and participate in daily challenges in Skate 4.
