Persona 3 Manga Volume 1 is Free - For a While
One of the many adaptations of Persona 3 is its original manga, and now fans can read the entirety of volume one for free. According to the manga's physical listings, this amounts to 162 pages, giving players a good amount to dive into. This offer comes courtesy of Atlus, and notes that this volume is being given away as a way of expressing gratitude to the Persona 3 Reload community. This opportunity is only available for a "limited time," by Atlus has not specified for exactly how long. Fans can read the first volume on the official Persona 3 Reload Sega site. While the remainder of the manga isn't free to read, it can be acquired online digitally, or as a physical book from online and offline bookstores.
One thing worth noting is that the manga began its western release in 2016, so it predates the Persona 3 Reload remake considerably. As such, fans shouldn't expect any additional content present in the remake to be a part of the manga's story. The manga was penned by Shuji Sogabe, originally launching way back in 2007, and running on and off until its completion in 2017. This same artist would go on to create the Persona 4 manga, which is also available for purchase in the west. Persona 5 is also available in manga format, though with a different author.
This move is likely also being made to help bring attention to the upcoming release of Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2. Nintendo fans have been waiting for an opportunity to play the game for themselves, though the nature of its release hasn't been without controversy. Persona 3 Reload will be on a Game-Key Card on Switch 2, or in other words, the game's files won't be on the physical version's cartridge. Regardless, those who want to play it on Nintendo's latest console won't have to wait long, as Persona 3 Reload will release on October 23, 2025 for the hybrid game system.
