The Requests you receive from Elizabeth in Persona 3 Reload have various objectives and rewards. Depending on the Request itself, you'll have a deadline to complete it, usually as a result of story-related events. "Request 68: Bring me a fruit knife" has a swift-approaching deadline, so you'll want to finish it as soon as you can. The Fruit Knife quest-item in Persona 3 Reload sounds as if it can be picked up from the Iwatodai Dorm kitchen, but that isn't the case. Instead, you'll need to speak to one of your party members to obtain it.

Where to Find Fruit Knife (P3R)

You should speak to Elizabeth outside the Velvet Room on 9/10 to get this Request along with several others. However, you'll want to prioritize Request 68: Bring me a fruit knife because it has a deadline on 10/2. Once you've accepted the quest, you can obtain the Fruit Knife from Shinjiro Aragaki.

You can miss this quest in your playthrough if you forget about the deadline.

You can get the Fruit Knife item as long as Shinjiro is in the Iwatodai Dorm (evening). If the quest is active, he'll have a blue exclamation point over his head. You don't have to spend your free time with Shinjiro to get the Fruit Knife. After this, return to the Velvet Room in Paulownia Mall to turn in the Fruit Knife.

You will receive a Bus Stop Sign as a reward for completing Request 68. This is an "axe" weapon that can only be equipped by Shinjiro. Depending on whether you're using Mayoida Antiques to craft strong weapons, the Bus Stop Sign may be the best weapon for Shinjiro at this point in your playthrough. It has the following stats:

Attack:	180
Accuracy:	90
Effects:	High chance of inflicting Distress on common Shadows.
Description:	"It says, 'Front of School'. It should probably be returned someday."

Although Elizabeth will return the Fruit Knife to you, it can't be equipped. Instead, the Fruit Knife is just a key item that serves no purpose in battle. Since it's a key item, it cannot be sold, nor can it be returned to Shinjiro.

The reward for Request 68 (the Bus Stop Sign) can't be used after 10/4. This potentially means you can sell it. However, it's best to just complete it anyway, as you need to complete requests to spend time with Elizabeth.
