Mothman is a Persona of the Hermit Arcana in Persona 3 Reload, and it's also required to complete one of Elizabeth's Requests. Even if you never use Mothman for battling, this Persona can be used in various fusions to make potentially stronger Personas for the late-game phase. What makes Mothman different from most Personas is its unlock requirement. You'll need something called a Vibrant Feather to obtain Mothman's fusion recipes in Persona 3 Reload. Fortunately, this key item is guarded by one of the Gatekeepers in Tartarus, so it's impossible to miss. With it, you can fuse Mothman to complete Request 35 - Fusion Series #3: Hermit, Mothman.
Persona 3 Reload: Opulent Hand Weakness (How to Beat)
Opulent Hands have only one weakness in Persona 3 Reload, so here's how to exploit it.
How to Get Vibrant Feather
Arcanist Decapitator
You will need to defeat the Arcanist Decapitator on Floor 82 (Yabbashah Block) in order to get the Vibrant Feather item. This gatekeeper is flanked by two enemies: Sky Overseer and Heat Overseer. To make this battle easier, you should bring party members and/or Personas that use Wind/Electric and Fire/Ice.
Have your party consist of Yukari, Akihiko, and Mitsuru.
You'll want to avoid hitting the Arcanist Decapitator with Wind and Ice Skills. Instead, have Yukari target the Heat Overseer; have Mitsuru target the Sky Overseer. You can buff/debuff with the protagonist or have a Persona that uses Physical Skills to try and land a critical hit on the Arcanist Decapitator.
Mothman Fusion Recipes
How to Get Mothman
With the Vibrant Feather item, you can return to the Velvet Room and fuse Mothman. There are various fusions to create it, but if you're hoping to make one with Agilao for Request 35, then you'll want to combine specific Personas. You can try out any of the following fusion recipes below:
The following fusion recipes include both Persona 5 DLC. Thus, one or more of the fusions listed below may give you a different Persona.

How to Get Mothman with Agilao
Request 35 - Fusion Series #3: Hermit, Mothman
You can accept Request 35 after defeating the Arcanist Decapitator on Floor 82 in Tartarus. Speak to Elizabeth, and she'll want to see a Mothman Persona with Agilao. This can be done by fusing Sati and Shiisa, and transferring Sati's Agilao Skill. Otherwise, you will want to use an Agilao Skill Card, which you can get from Shuffle Time on the floors in Yabbashah Block. Completing Request 35 unlocks the Maid Outfit for Mitsuru.
Persona 3 Reload: How to Fuse Arahabaki
You'll need a certain key item in order to unlock the fusion recipe for Arahabaki in Persona 3 Reload, so here's what how to get it.
More Information About Mothman
Stats and More
Mothman is a fast Persona with a solid Magic and Luck stat. It has two Affinity weaknesses, but resists four other Affinities, making it useful for the midgame of Persona 3 Reload. If you want to give Mothman a solid skillset, it's highly recommended you use Skill Cards.
Mothman's base level is 31, meaning the protagonist's level needs to be the same or higher. You can double the experience for Mothman when fusing if you rank up the Hermit (Maya) Social Link. Since it's a regular Persona, Mothman does not give any Heart Items when it learns its last Skill.

Recommended Skills
- Resist Pierce
- Resist Ice
- Mazionga
- Maeiga
If you're lacking a Persona with an Almighty Skill, then you can use Mothman. Megido isn't the strongest Almighty Skill, but it's useful in a brand-new playthrough (not NG+). Almighty Skills cannot be repelled, so they're great to use on enemies that have Affinity Resistances. If you're wary of Mothman's Affinity Weaknesses, then there are Skill Cards that can give it resistance to Pierce or Ice. Since Mothman's Magic stat is higher than its Physical, it's recommended to have its main method of attacking be with Affinity Skills. Zionga can be replaced with Ziodyne (Skill Card) or even Mazionga/Maziodyne. If you have Dark Skill Cards, then Maeiga works, too. It's recommended to use Electric/Dark Skills since Mothman repels both Affinities. This means if the enemy repels electric/dark, the protagonist won't be damaged if he has Mothman equipped since it, too, repels electric/dark.
