Persona 3 Reload is coming to Switch 2, and players can get a free DLC on launch if they create or already have a Sega account. Persona 3 Reload has already been available on other consoles since its release on February 2, 2024, and now a Switch 2 port is giving more fans a chance to experience this remake.
A remaster of Persona 3 Portable is already available on the Switch and Switch 2 as part of Atlus' push to make more Persona games available on all platforms. While Portable is a great way to experience the game's story, Persona 3 Reload offers much more refined gameplay and visuals, along with unique story content.

Sega Account Owners Get Free DLC for Persona 3 Reload
On the official Sega Rewards website, players can sign up to get free DLC for Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2, though only by linking their Sega and Nintendo accounts. The free DLC is titled "Exploration Item Set" and offers in-game consumables that help players early on in the game. Players can link the accounts now, but will still need to return to the promotion's web page after the game's release to claim the items. This DLC can be signed up for and redeemed any time through October 22, 2027, 10:59 PM UTC+8.

Creating a Sega account does require players to enter the country they are from, with the full list of available countries being shown on the first page of the registration screen. Those from countries outside the ones listed won't be able to make an account or redeem the DLC. Creating an account also gives access to DLC for other games by Sega through its Rewards system, such as a unique outfit in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
Aside from the larger story DLC for Persona 3 Reload called Episode Aigis, a lot of the game's other downloadable content focuses on in-game cosmetics or different songs that can be heard in battle. While these items offer no changes to the actual gameplay, they are permanent and can be turned on or off whenever the player wishes.
What makes the Exploration Item Set DLC unique is that everything included is consumable, so once used, it will be gone forever. Most of these items can be found when opening chests while exploring Tartarus in Persona 3 Reload, or purchased at the medicine store in-game, but this DLC offers them a lot earlier and more easily than just trying to get them normally.
