Persona 4 Golden: Hisano Kuroda Social Link Guide

There are two Social Links in Persona 4 Golden that have unique unlock methods. One of them is Ai Ebihara and the other is Hisano Kuroda. Hisano is an elderly woman that players may have seen at the hospital part-time job. Work a few shifts, and she'll be included in the protagonist's ever-growing list of Social Links.

It's very easy to miss Hisano on a first playthrough of Persona 4 Golden, but her Social Link is worth unlocking. There are two factors that set her apart from P4G's other Social Links. If newcomers are struggling with completing Social Links, then they should aim to complete Hisano's. The Death Social Link can reach max rank in the span of a month if players use their free time wisely.

Where to Find Hisano

The protagonist needs to work the Hospital Janitor job. The job will appear on the bulletin board in North Shopping District on May 25th, but it requires Level 3 Diligence. Players will meet Sayoko Uehara (Devil Social Link). They'll also meet Hisano, but they'll need to get to Rank 4 of the Devil Social Link before Hisano formally introduces herself.

After this, Hisano can be found at the Samegawa Flood Plain on Sundays and holidays (afternoon). She's not available on rainy days. Due to her weekend/holiday availability, the best month to spend time with her is during summer vacation.

One of the best things about Hisano's Social Link is that the protagonist doesn't need to have a matching Persona. Normally, having a Persona with a matching Arcana will increase a point or two towards the Social Link counter. The more points accumulated, the quicker the next Rank can be accessed.

For Hisano, the Social Link increases whenever the protagonist spends time with her. This means that unlike most Social Links, the protagonist won't need to draw fortunes from the Tatsuhime Shrine for an extra point or two. Aside from the Level 3 Diligence needed for the Hospital Janitor job, none of the Social Link's answers have Social Stat requirements.

Some answers will give an additional point if players have a Death Arcana Persona in their party. However, since the Death Social Link is pretty much automatic, a matching Persona is not required.

Rank 1

Hisano's Rank 1 is pretty much automatic. Again, players will need to speak with her during Rank 4 of the Devil Social Link before they can unlock Rank 1 of the Death Social Link. These are the best answers for Rank 1:

Players will need to speak to Daidara at Daidara Metalworks to unlock Rank 7. After completing Rank 6 and learning about the letters, go to Daidara to receive the Husband's Letter Key Item. As a reward for helping Hisano, the protagonist will receive the Old Fountain Pen Key Item. This will allow him to fuse the ultimate Persona of the Death Arcana, Mahakala. This is a Persona that requires a Special Fusion, so the protagonist will need to have the following in his party before he can create Mahakala in a hexagon fusion:

Mahakala is a level 78 Persona. If the protagonist is below level 78, he won't be able to fuse it. Stat-wise, Mahakala has great Strength and Endurance. His base kit has -dyne tier Agi skills (ie: Maragidyne), but he also has Passive Skills like Fire Amp and Mudo Boost. Since Mamudoon isn't useful against bosses, players can swap this out with a Physical Skill Card instead. Mahakala has Myriad Arrows, which deals heavy physical damage 1x-3x to all foes. He'll also learn Mind Charge and Power Charge, which will double his magic attack and physical attack on the next turn respectively. Mahakala will null Darkness, absorb Fire, and repel Electricity, making him very useful against enemies with Mudo Skills.
