Persona 4 Golden: Eri Minami Social Link Guide

While most Social Links can be found at Yasogami High in Persona 4 Golden, there are several that take place outside the protagonist's school life. There are four Social Links that can only be unlocked by taking part-time jobs. One of these is Eri Minami, the Temperance Social Link.

Eri isn't a foreign exchange student or the protagonist's teacher. She's a stepmother struggling to care for her stepson, Yuuta. Like most non-student Social Links, Persona 4 Golden's Temperance Social Link can be difficult to advance thanks to its limited ways of getting Social Link points. She's also easy to miss for those not checking P4G's part-time job bulletin board.

Where to Find Eri Minami

Players will need to take the Assistant Day Care Caretaker job from the bulletin board in North Shopping District. While the job itself unlocks as early as April 23rd, the protagonist will need to raise his Understanding before he can apply. Players can raise Understanding by reading books, choosing certain responses in other Social Links, or by working the Origami Crane Folder part-time job. However, the Origami Crane Folder job requires Level 2 Diligence.

The Day Care Caretaker job will pay 4,000-10,000 yen depending on the protagonist's Social Stats. For example, players atLevel 5 in Understanding will receive 10,000 yen compared to someone at Level 1-3. Working this job will also add points towards Understanding.

Once the protagonist is hired, he can leave from the Bus Station in South Shopping District. The daycare is open Monday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons, and is not available on rainy days. The protagonist will need to work the daycare job twice before they can meet Eri and unlock Rank 1.

Unlike Yosuke and the others, the protagonist can't spend time with Eri outside the daycare job. Meaning the only time he'll get Social Link points for the Temperance Social Link is by working at the daycare. This includes working days when the Social Link isn't ready to rank up.

However, once he unlocks the Tatsuhime Shrine on May 5th, he can draw fortunes that will add points towards any unlocked Social Link. The best days to draw a fortune for Eri are on days she's unavailable. Fortunes can also be drawn at night.

Always bring a Persona of the Temperance Arcana when doing the daycare job. This will add an extra point towards the best possible answer with Eri. There are many Persona that are Temperance. In fact, one of them (Apsaras) can be gained from Shuffle Time in the first dungeon. The following are Temperance:

Since this is the first Rank, it's an automatic Rank Up. Any dialogue choices won't count towards the Social Link either. Players may need to work the daycare job again to earn enough points for Rank 2.

Like Rank 1, the final Rank is automatic. The available answer will give three points towards the Social Link counter, but the points are essentially useless now that it's over. From here on out, players don't need to do the daycare job unless they need more Understanding points or some pocket change.

As thanks, Eri will give the protagonist the Clover Bookmark Key Item. This has no use in-battle, but it will allow the player to fuse Vishnu, the ultimate form of the Temperance Arcana. Like most Key Items, the Clover Bookmark will carry over into NG+. Since Vishnu is a level 73 Persona, players may want to fuse him on their current playthrough. Otherwise, they'll have to level up to level 73 (again) on NG+ just to get him. Remember that the protagonist can't create a Persona that's a higher level than him.

There are many Fusion Recipes to create Vishnu. Unfortunately, most Ultimate Fusions require the use of an Ultimate Persona from another Social Link. Here are just a few of Vishnu's Fusions:

Vishnu learns more Physical Skills than he does Affinity Skills when leveling up, but his magic stat is arguably a bit higher than his strength stat. This, of course, can be altered by getting stat-raising cards from Shuffle Time. His stats and Abilities are also determined by the Personas used in his Fusion. These are all the Skills Vishnu has by leveling up only:
