Originally released on the PS2 in 2008, Persona 4 followed its predecessors by offering players a blend of turn-based RPG combat with social life simulation elements. According to Twitter user Msoni187 (and corroborated by Persona Central), the web domain for Persona 4 Remake was updated on April 21, nearly a month after it was initially created. This follows a past pattern of Persona web domain names being updated by Atlus or its partners shortly before any major game announcements.

Persona 4 Remake Web Domain Update Could Signal Imminent Game Announcement

The updated web domain, dubbed "P4RE.JP", currently gives users a retrieval error when typed into a web browser. Additionally, no internal address for the web domain's host was included in the backend data. Although it is unclear if this Persona 4 Remake web domain belongs to Atlus, the timing of the domain update lines up with similar timeframes.

For example, Persona 3 Reload had its "P3R.JP" domain registered in March 2023, with an update the following June, just before the game was leaked. As for a potential window for Persona 4 Remake to be shown off, Msoni187 stated that the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8 is the most likely time.
