PGA Tour 2K25 has revealed the golfing athletes and artwork gracing the covers for the latest entry in the golf sports simulation series. Justin Thomas, winner of five PGA Tour events and former world number one, previously appeared on the cover of 2K21 followed by Tiger Woods, an inductee of the World of Golf Hall of Fame and second-ranked in men’s major championships, on the cover of 2K23, and PGA Tour 2K25 features three popular players.
The PGA Tour 2K series was originally known as The Golf Club, and the titular first entry in the franchise was released in 2014. A sequel debuted in 2017, followed by another successor in 2018, before the series was renamed PGA Tour for the 2K21 2020 release and the 2K23 2022 launch. 13 EA games are confirmed to be shutting down in 2025, including Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, but thankfully, golfing fanatics will be able to indulge in PGA Tour 2K25 this year.
Announced on the PGA Tour 2K25 Twitter account, two covers were revealed for the Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game featuring three, prominent golfers. Tiger Woods, an 82-time PGA Tour winner, is returning front and center, joined by Max Homa, who has accumulated six PGA Tour wins, and Matt Fitzpatrick, who has won two PGA Tours, in stunning, watercolor-styled artwork. PGA Tour 2K21 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 are among some of the best golf games of all time, and the unveiled artwork for 2K25 is certainly creating hype around the upcoming installment.

PGA Tour 2K25 recently received a release date of February 28, 2025, and golfing gamers think more sports games should adopt PGA Tour’s release schedule by adhering to a more spread-out timeframe instead of yearly launches. Three years after the last PGA Tour game, fans warmly received the new artwork for 2K25, labeling the images as “gorgeous,” and fans appreciated seeing Woods’ iconic US Open celebratory pose on the standard cover. Being such a prominent figure in the profession, Woods is expected to be on the cover of a hypothetical 2K38, which was a top comment made by a fan in jest.
2K has also been busy releasing year-one content for the latest basketball game, and NBA 2K25 recently received its first 2025 update in preparation for Season 4. New player likeness updates and court fixes for improved visuals were among some of the fixes, and Patch 4.0 also enhanced gameplay with detailed shot feedback, realism adjustments, and defensive mechanics, alongside stability fixes, progression adjustments, and visual updates for MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and MyNBA modes.
