Kinetic Games has confirmed that June 24 will be a very exciting day for all the Phasmophobia fans out there. The developer has revealed a massive new Phasmophobia update, which is set to drop in late June.

Despite still technically being an Early Access title, Phasmophobia has been extremely popular since late 2020. Developer Kinetic Games has continued to improve the horror title with frequent content drops, keeping new and returning players interested over the course of several years. Even without a 1.0 release date in sight, Phasmophobia is undoubtedly one of the games that has made the best use of Early Access.

In a blog post on its website, Kinetic Games has confirmed that Phasmophobia's huge Chronicle update will launch on June 24, bringing tons of new content for players to enjoy. Photos are being overhauled, instead becoming "Media." This will allow players to capture videos and audio of ghosts to earn more XP and money in Phasmophobia, offering new ways to capture evidence and complete investigations. Alongside this, Phasmophobia's Chronicle update will see the release of the Sound Recorder, the first piece of new equipment added to the game since August 2023. According to the developer, the Sound Recorder "brings with it a whole new type of profitable evidence."

Phasmophobia's Chronicle Update Launches June 24

That's not all. Kinetic Games also teased a significant rework of Grafton Farmhouse, a map that has been in the game for years now. This follows Phasmophobia's rework of Bleasdale Farmhouse earlier this year, meaning 2025 will have seen a fresh coat of paint for two of its oldest maps when all is said and done. The work-in-progress images of the new-look Grafton Farmhouse are extremely impressive, with the studio claiming the map has been "overhauled from top to bottom."

The Chronicle update is right in line with Phasmophobia's 2025 roadmap, which was released earlier this year. Looking back at this, there's still plenty to come this year, assuming Kinetic Games is still on schedule. There's the player character overhaul, which could be argued to be long overdue for Phasmophobia. Perhaps a little more exciting is a new small map, due in the second half of 2025. The developer has yet to discuss details of the new map, so fans should keep an eye on that one.
