In Phasmophobia, players need to gather evidence in order to narrow down the type of ghost they are dealing with. One of the eight types of evidence is something called Ghost Orbs, but it isn't clear at first what these are or how players can find them.
This is partly due to the fact that Ghost Orbs are invisible to the naked eye, and until they find their first, players don't know exactly what it is they are looking for. If players can't find Ghost Orbs after plenty of searching, then they can likely rule them out and look for other evidence.
Phasmophobia: How to Identify All Ghosts
Each ghost in Phasmophobia comes with special abilities that can help you identify them. Here's what you need to look out for on any difficulty.
How To Find Ghost Orbs In Phasmophobia
If Ghost Orbs are present, then they will be located in the ghost room, which will typically be colder and present to increased activity. However, Ghost Orbs are invisible to the naked eye, so, as with other evidence, players will need to make use of the equipment in Phasmophobia, all of which is found in the van.
For Ghost Orbs, the Video Camera is needed and players will want to switch night vision on. There are two ways to use Video Cameras.
First, players can walk around holding the Video Camera, pointing it in different directions while looking for the Orbs. Alternatively, they can set up a camera in the ghost room, ideally on a tripod, and then watch the video feed from the van. On harder difficulties, the ghost room and the Ghost Orbs can move, so players might have to relocate their camera.
Walking around with the Video Camera can be a good way to quickly find the ghost room.
What Do Ghost Orbs Look Like
Phasmophobia: How To Use The Ouija Board
Phasmophobia players can find an ouija board in-game that they can use to communicate with ghosts by asking specific questions.
Now that players know how to look for Ghost Orbs, it's useful to know exactly what they are looking for. The Orbs are fairly small and appear as bright white circles that will randomly float across the screen.
Make sure the lights are off when looking for Ghost Orbs, as they will stand out more.
For outdoor maps and windows, the way to distinguish Ghost Orbs from weather elements such as rain and snow, is that Orbs can float horizontally or upwards. Ghost Orbs should also appear brighter.
Which Ghosts Have Ghost Orbs In Phasmophobia
If players find Ghost Orbs, then the ghost will be one of the following types. Players will need to find two more pieces of evidence to determine which of these is correct:
