With Halloween over and the approach of winter, it's time for Phasmophobia's annual Christmas event, Winter's Jest, which returns for 2025 and the start of the new year. Winter's Jest will run from Tuesday, December 16th, 2025, at 12:00 GMT (07:00 EST) until January 6th, 2026, at the same time.
Phasmophobia: How To Complete Frostbitten Challenge
The Frostbitten Challenge in Phasmophobia tests your paranormal skills against the colder elements. Here are some tips for completing it.
Over the course of these three weeks, players will feel Krampus' wrath on certain festive maps and be tasked with filling his bag of gifts with presents specified on his naughty and nice list. This update also sees the release of three new ghosts in Phasmophobia, so look out for Obambo, Dayan, and Gallu.
From 16th December to 23rd December, players will also gain double XP and Money from all investigations.
How To Complete The Winter's Jest Event In Phasmophobia
To earn points in the Phasmophobia Winter's Jest Event, players will need to complete the following objectives as many times as possible, both as a community and as individuals.
- Find and open Krampus Jack-in-the-boxes.
- Complete Krampus' naughty and nice list by filling his sack with the correct gifts.
Find Presents For Krampus' Bag Of Gifts
Outside the front door of a building, players should see a large brown sack with a naughty and nice list attached. Next to each name are some symbols representing small presents players need to find and bring back.
For example, these might be Christmas trees, reindeer, or stars on the nice list, or coal on the naughty list.
If multiple gifts of each type are needed, they are usually found together in the same room.
Pick these up with E as you do with other items, then take them outside and press G to throw them in the bag. A sound should play, and the gift will be crossed out on the list. Keep going until you've found them all.
What Happens If You Complete Krampus' List?
If players are able to successfully find all the presents on Krampus' list and drop them into his bag, a red present will spawn by the bag, and once opened, it will reveal one cookie for each player.
The team will also be rewarded with 12 points towards the Winter's Jest Event, helping themselves and the community.
Open Krampus Jack-In-The-Boxes To Earn Points Too
While completing the list and trying to identify the ghost, also keep an eye out for Krampus Jack-in-the-boxes, which reward bonus points upon being opened.
Rewards For The Winter's Jest Event In Phasmophobia
As was the case with the other events this year, rewards for Winter's Jest are split into Community Rewards and Personal Rewards. To collect these players may need to interact with the tree at the warehouse.

The Sanity Survival Challenge is one of Phasmophobia's most difficult feats, so you need to know how to prepare before going in.
Winter's Jest Maps In Phasmophobia
After the addition of Nell's Diner in 2025, Phasmophobia now has 14 maps to choose from, but for the Winter's Jest event, only 10 maps are included. Furthermore, only a few of these will be available each day, as they will all rotate daily.
When choosing a map, the event maps for the day will be marked. This works in the same way it did for other 2025 events, such as Crimson Eye at Halloween.
