Planet Coaster is an exhilarating construction game where you get the chance to construct and manage a theme park, full of exhilarating rides. As the overseer of your park, your main goal is to expand it until it becomes your own version of Disneyland.
However, on your journey to become a tycoon, you may encounter a challenge: your park staff becoming bored and unhappy. This could be a major setback because your staff members are the cornerstone of your theme park. Without them, even the most thrilling rides wouldn't create a successful park. But do not worry, this guide will assist you in making your staff happy in Planet Coaster.
Planet Coaster: How To Walk Around The Park
Want to view the park in all its glory? Well, here’s how to use the first-person mode in Planet Coaster to walk around your park.
How to Keep Staff Happy
Maintaining staff happiness is crucial if you want to keep your theme park running smoothly. Over time, you will see your staff becoming bored and unhappy. That can become a problem for you. If their happiness scores drop too low, they might consider resigning and disrupting the operations of your park. Luckily, there are a few ways through which you can increase their happiness.
Balance Your Staff Number
To keep your staff happy, it's necessary to maintain the right balance in their workload. Make sure that you have enough staff to keep your park running. At the same time, try not to overstuff your park, as this can lead to boredom and other issues.
Build Staff Buildings
Make sure your staff is well-rested by providing adequate staff buildings for breaks. Each staff building will help you accommodate three staff members, and when upgraded, it can manage ten.
Don't overlook the perks of these buildings, as they can increase your staff’s morale and productivity. There are many perks you can choose from according to the specific needs of your staff members, such as healthcare, learning resources, or others.
Train Your Staff Members
Train your staff frequently to ensure that they are capable of managing the growing number of guests as your park grows in size and popularity. However, avoid overtraining them, as they may become bored if there aren’t enough guests to keep them busy.
Assign Your Staff
When your park has grown to an enormous size, focus on utilizing work rosters to assign specific areas of your park to staff members. This will reduce their need to constantly move around.
Manage Their Salaries
Make sure to adjust your staff's salaries as they undergo training and handle higher workloads. At the start, they will agree to work on a normal salary, but as your park expands and their workload increases, it is essential to compensate them appropriately for their efforts.
