After rumors came out that the original Plants vs. Zombies was getting a reboot, it was confirmed that Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted will launch on October 23, 2025 on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. It will have the same fun tower defense mechanics, but with better graphics compared to the original. One of the new features highlighted in the trailer is Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted will have local co-op and PvP.

Plants vs. Zombie's Co-Op History

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted won't be the first time that the original game will get co-op mode. In the past, co-op mode was made available in Plants vs. Zombies' PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade versions during the early 2010s. Spin-offs Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neigborville, which are both third-person shooters, also have exciting co-op and PvP features that are ideal for more competitive players.

With the popular tower defense game coming back better than ever in a few months, Plants vs. Zombies fans can enjoy the whimsical music again while battling hordes of zombies. It will be double the fun now that two players can work together in planting defenses in each garden level, and also get the opportunity to beat other hardcore Plants vs. Zombies fans in PvP.

Apart from Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, fans are also looking forward to Plants vs. Zombies 3. Developer PopCap Games pulled out the third mainline game for a major overhaul after a soft launch, and there's still no news about when it's coming back online. There are also rumors that Plants vs. Zombies 3 might make the plant fusion mod a reality.
