Project Warlock and More New Games Coming to PS4 This Week

Until more concrete news of its successor surfaces, the PlayStation 4 is still the console of choice for many. While many players are hoping for remasters of old PS1 games, there are many completely new games to look forward to next week.

Some highlights of the games coming out for the PlayStation Store next week include Demon's Tier+, a retro-style Dungeon-RPG. Also coming to the Store is Ys: Memories of Celcetta, part of the Ys series of RPGs which stretches back to the NES. In fact, there are several retro and simple titles to try out, with their release dates spread out over the week.

The big spotlight for the upcoming week is on Project Warlock, which releases on June 9. The game is a throwback to old school FPS shooters from the genre's birth. Like the original Doom, it will involve walking around a lot through tight corridors and shooting crazy enemies with outlandish weapons. As the title suggests, the main character is a warlock, and has spells to use as well as weapons. The game has a shop system that will be available between levels, taking a modern approach and allowing players to level up in their own way.
