In a post on the PlayStation website, Sony confirmed that State of Play is back on June 4, with a "40+ minute show" set to run from 5pm ET. According to the post, fans will get "news and updates on must-play games coming to PS5," although it stopped short of naming any of the games that will actually be featured. Hopefully, it'll be an epic look at the best to come from the 2025 video game release calendar.

Sony Confirms PlayStation State of Play for June 4

While nothing is confirmed, speculation will mount between now and State of Play about what games are planned to appear. Considering Death Stranding 2: On the Beach releases on June 26 exclusively for PlayStation 5, it's difficult to imagine it not appearing in a big way. October's Ghost of Yotei seems likely too, given it's one of the biggest upcoming PlayStation exclusives. Marvel's Wolverine feels like a possibility, albeit less likely to appear than the previous two titles.

June 4's State of Play has been rumored for a few weeks now, and it's good to get confirmation that it's on the way. The previous State of Play focused on Borderlands 4 was a cool deep-dive into the upcoming looter shooter, but it'll be nice to get a broader look at the upcoming PlayStation slate of titles.
