Sony has officially kicked off a new Weekend Offer sale on the PlayStation Store, offering up some great discounts on plenty of big PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles. The latest sale is only live until September 1, so players looking to pick up some new PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 games, such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Hogwarts Legacy, Grand Theft Auto 5, and many more, will need to act fast.

With the weekend officially in full swing, there are plenty of great, new PlayStation 5 games to play right now. While the current sale doesn't include any of the freshest releases, those who are eager to check out something new have plenty of options. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the highly anticipated remake of the 2004 classic, finally launched earlier this week, just in time for the weekend. Plus, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance released to rave reviews from critics, Gears of War: Reloaded ended the console wars with its PS5 launch, and Delta Force gave first-person shooter fans something to keep themselves busy with while they wait for Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6 later this year.

But for those looking for some cheaper alternatives, Sony has given fans yet another Weekend Offer sale to check out on the PlayStation Store. Critically acclaimed games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 5 are on sale for 75% and 67% off, respectively, while other big AAA hits such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are also heavily discounted. The sale kicked off on Friday, August 29 and will run until Monday, September 1, giving gamers all weekend to pick up some new titles.

If the short but sweet weekend offers weren't enough, Sony also currently has another sale ongoing known as Ready, Set, Play! The discounts included in the sale look to be much bigger than the current Weekend Offer, with the hugely successful remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion discounted by 20%, while Cyberpunk 2077 can be picked up for 55% off, and Hogwarts Legacy can be purchased for a massive 80% off. Although it has yet to be confirmed by Sony, a new PlayStation State of Play could be coming in September, which may reveal even more games for PS4 and PS5 users to add to their wishlists. Many are patiently waiting for more news on Marvel's Wolverine, which hasn't been seen since its initial reveal in 2021, as well as what will likely be a final look at Ghost of Yotei before its highly anticipated launch on October 2.
