By using the Mystery Gift feature in Pokemon Legends Z-A and connecting online, trainers can now claim a Mega Stone to evolve Diancie, the Mythical Pokemon from Gen 6, and also get a side mission that ends with you catching a Diancie. How to Claim Diancite Stone in Pokemon Legends Z-A
- Press X to enter the main menu
- Hit 'Link Play'
- Select 'Mystery Gift' and then choose 'Get Via Internet'
- Choose 'Shine Bright like a Gemstone'
- The new mission will now be available in-game, and you will get the Diancite Stone for Mega Evolution
How to Start Shine Bright like a Gemstone in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Once you've obtained the Diancite and unlocked the new side mission in Pokemon Legends Z-A, the quest won't immediately appear on your log. So, to actually start, you need to fast travel to the Looker Bureau to speak to Detective Emma (it's just northwest of 
Wild Zone 3 in the Rouge Sector).
Once you make it to the agency, speak to Emma's Espurr (Mimi) to start a cutscene. The Pokemon will feel a strange presence because of the Diancite you're holding, and Emma wants you to follow it to see where it's going. This will kick off Side Mission EX 1: Shine Bright Like a Gemstone.
How to Complete Shine Bright Like a Gemstone and Catch Diancie in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Go ahead and leave the agency and meet up with Emma southwest of Wild Zone 3 (close to Cafe Pokemon-Amie and Lysandre Cafe). After the conversation, head to the next spot, which is right outside Quasartico Inc. In the Magenta Sector. After this, you're going to head southwest near the Magenta Pokemon Center to find Emma near a Holovator. From here, use the elevator to get to the rooftops. You're going to want to make it to the top of the building that's northwest of you, but you'll need to go to the right first and make your way around to reach it. (We've included a video below showing how to get there!)
After meeting with Emma for the last time, Carbink and Diancie will show up on the rooftops waiting for a battle. This is your time to actually catch the Mythical Pokemon.
It'll be at level 70 and is weak to Water, Grass, Steel, and Ground-type moves, so take its health down and then throw an Ultra Ball (or whatever Ball you want) to attempt to catch it. If the Ball fails, the fight will just restart, giving you unlimited chances to capture Diancie. We ended up catching it with a Dusk Ball at night.
After the mission is over, you can equip the Diancite to Diancie to Mega Evolve it during a tough battle.
As a reward for completing the side mission, you will get 1 0K Poke Dollars and an Exp. Candy XL. Diancie will know the following moves upon capture: Diamond Storm, Stealth Rock, Draining Kiss, and Moonblast.
