An artistically talented Pokemon fan is racking up likes by the thousands in response to a series of pictures of their remarkable crocheted doll of Espeon. The custom handmade creation, which was apparently completed in a rather short amount of time, is impressing plenty of fellow Pokemon fans from around the world.

A Psychic-type introduced as part of Pokemon's second generation of creatures, Espeon is an evolution of Eevee, and is one of what now encompasses eight Eeveelutions, with the remainder being Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. While each one of the Eeveelutions has contingents of fans across the many Pokemon games, certain ones can be stronger or weaker, depending on the title. For instance, Espeon is undisputedly the strongest Eeveelution in Pokemon Sleep thanks to its vastly superior Main Skill.

The crocheted version of Espeon comes from a Reddit user called phinerz, who posted their work to one of the site's main Pokemon pages. The adorable crochet doll - which manages to capture all the defining features of the Pokemon with great accuracy - is also poseable to an extent, with the Espeon able to sit or "sploot," or in other words, lie on its stomach. It's also revealed the entire project took around 25 hours, making it one of the faster creations from phinerz. Commonly shown alongside Umbreon, like another Pokemon fan's Umbreon and Espeon ornaments, it wouldn't be surprising if a crocheted Umbreon came next.

While the crocheted Espeon is undoubtedly impressive, especially in such a short window of time, another Pokemon fan has taken things a step further by not only making Espeon and Umbreon, but is crocheting Eevee and all its evolutions. The fellow fan has already crocheted the aforementioned Gen 2 pair and Eevee, along with the original three evolutions in Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon, with plans to soon craft the remaining three. The group of crocheted Pokemon appear similar in size and stature to phinerz' Espeon above, though they don't appear as poseable.
