Items Required To Evolve Seadra into Kingdra:

  • 100 Horsea Candies
  • Dragon Scale

Once a player receives a Dragon Scale, it can only be used to evolve Seadra. No other Pokemon can evolve with it or need it to evolve. After evolving Seadra into Kingdra, the move set with the most DPS has Water Gun as Kingdra's Fast Move and Hydro Pump as Kingdra's Charge Move. It gets special weather-boosted effects during rainy and windy weather.

How To Get A Dragon Scale In Pokemon GO

While the grind for getting 100 Horsea candies can take a long time, getting a Dragon Scale might take even longer if players don't know what to do. Normally, players can get Dragon Scales from spinning Pokestops or Gyms. However, the chances of getting one are around 1% per spin, the same percentage as other evolution item drops. The only way to raise the odds is after players spin over 250 Pokestops. Thankfully, the first Pokestop of the day also has an increased chance of dropping evolution items.

Another way to get it from Pokestops is if players spin a Pokestop 7 days in a row and collect their streak bonus. However, this is not a guaranteed way to get a Dragon Scale, as other evolution items like the King's Rock will also have a chance to appear as well, meaning there's only a 1 in 7 chance of getting it. These other evolution items are:

  • King's Rock
  • Metal Coat
  • Sun Stone
  • Upgrade
  • Sinnoh Stone
