Summary
- A Pokemon fan creates Drubble, a baby Pokemon that is a pre-evolution of Druddigon.
- The Pokemon community desires more unique pre-evolutionary forms in future games.
- Anticipation builds for Pokemon Legends: Z-A and potential new features like Kalosian regional variants.
Fan-made baby Pokemon are designed fairly frequently by artistic fans with a soft spot for the cutest critters in the Pokemon world, and one artist has recently shown off their very own "baby Druddigon" concept. Though baby Pokemon may not be very capable in battles, they're beloved all the same by Pokemon fans who prefer to play with their Pokemon rather than fight with them.
Many such people within the Pokemon community tend to agree that there aren't nearly enough unique species of pre-evolutionary little Pokemon throughout the games, though creative players have pointed out that there's plenty of room for the Pokemon franchise to introduce new baby Pokemon species. Fans have been able to dream up pre-evolutionary forms for practically every Pokemon at this point, and countless artists in the community have stepped up to bring many of these concepts to life.
The Wildest Fan Theories of the Pokemon Franchise Explained
Pokémon has one of the largest fanbases of any existing media franchise, and those fans have spun some big theories from the series.
While many such realized visions have resulted in the creation of fan-made baby Pokemon for species such as Lapras and Drampa, one new fan design features a pre-evolutionary form of Druddigon. Drubble, as the little critter has been named, was designed by gobrosii, a brilliant fan artist who's been designing custom Pokemon for years. Officially, the Dragon-type Druddigon is the only member of its evolutionary line and hasn't even received any new forms since its introduction with the Gen 5 games. With this in mind, a baby Druddigon pre-evolution would make for a welcome addition to future games.
Here's What the Baby Pokemon Drubble Looks Like
Fanmade baby Pokemon designs have been something of a trend in recent years, though fan artists have enjoyed plenty of new material from the core-series games to inspire new designs of their own. Fanmade regional variant Pokemon designs have also been exceptionally popular over the past several years, and have enjoyed a particular surge of attention since the reveal of Pokemon Legends: Z-A earlier this year.
There are very few details regarding the next title in the Pokemon series just yet, unfortunately, but fans likely won't have to wait too long until more information is finally released for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which is currently set to launch at an unspecified point next year. Other than the teased return of Mega Pokemon, nothing regarding the upcoming game's content has been revealed so far, though fans are hopeful that the game will introduce a plethora of new regional variant Pokemon similar to its predecessor, Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
