A Pokemon fan has created a series of Mega forms for Pokemon lacking them, including Dachsbun, Articuno, Flareon, Gogoat, Slowking, and Hydreigon. Fan-made Mega Evolutions tend to excite the Pokemon community, in part because of the creative process and artistic talent involved.
Fan Mega Evolutions for Pokemon are a popular form of celebrating favorites while giving them unique upgrades. Mega Evolutions have only come to a handful of Pokemon, so there's a lot of ground for fan artists to cover. While every fan has their own idea of what a Mega Evolution for a particular Pokemon might look like, part of the fun is seeing what others think of and imagining how that might play out in a Pokemon game if they were official.
Prolific Pokemon fan artist Cheselth has shared their newest Mega Evolution creations, unveiling six this time around. Hydreigon leads them, having become more vicious, with more pronounced wings, and in addition to the two extra heads it normally has, it's gained another two, with one on each foot. Mega Galarian Slowking has a longer cape and appears to have broken off one of its own Shellder's horns to use as a weapon or wand. Mega Articuno is more powerful than its counterpart, with the ability to freeze entire islands at once, and has two-tone wings and a stronger-looking body.
Mega Gogoat's leafy mane and tail have become more pronounced, its horns have lengthened, and it has a long beard. Mega Flareon's body has partially ignited, with its tail, feet, and the tuft between its ears now blazing. Finally, Mega Dachsbun has grown in length, become fiercer, and now has berries growing on its body, which are apparently a Pokemon world delicacy, according to the artist. Pokemon fans have been quick to praise the artist for their creations, with special attention paid to Gogoat, Articuno, and Slowking.
As mentioned, this isn't the first time that this artist has created Mega Evolutions to share with the internet. The artist previously created a number of Mega Evolutions with Pokemon like Victini and Zoroark. Prior to that, they also showed off their imagining of what Beta Arceus could have looked like. Given that this particular series of Megas is the seventh time they've shared them with Reddit, the artist has already given dozens of Pokemon a Mega overhaul where Game Freak has yet to tread. While that might change in the near future with Pokemon Legends: Z-A on the horizon, for now, fans will keep imagining them for themselves.
