A Pokemon Brilliant Diamond player has shared a remarkable feat with the franchise’s community, after completing a testing hunt to find a shiny Arceus. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond was released in tandem with the Shining Pearl variant in 2021, and they are both remakes of the 2006 Nintendo DS titles. Brilliant Diamond was announced as part of the IP’s 25th anniversary event and features an eighth-generation Pokemon set in the fictional Sinnoh region, which is based on Japan’s Hokkaido island.
Following 2022’s Scarlet and Violet launch, the next main game in the Pokemon video series will be Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which is the second title in the Legends series following 2022’s Pokemon Legend: Arceus. Piggybacking on all the recent Nintendo hype, new rumors suggest Pokemon Legends: Z-A will not be ported to the Switch 2, despite previous whispers deeming the game a possible launch title for the successor console. Since Z-A is likely to be released in 2025, this year might be too soon for the Switch 2 to debut in tandem.
Pokemon GO Announces Road to Unova Event
Pokemon GO announces another Unova-themed event, which will be the region featured in this year's Pokemon GO Tour celebrations.
Posted on Reddit by Financial_Panic_4265, two screenshots from Brilliant Pearl were posted on the Pokemon subreddit, showing a joyful trainer standing in front of two Arceus during sunset, except one of the Legendary Pokemon was a shiny variant. Catching the regular Arceus in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond is relatively simple, providing trainers obtain the Azure Flute. However, tracking down a shiny variant was a challenge for this player. The Redditor admitted they nearly gave up and used the blinking method, which is a technique that involves dimming the screen and using a pattern of blinks to identify shiny Pokemon, but their patience was rewarded in the end.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Player Finally Catches Shiny Arceus
The Reddit community was more concerned about what would happen to the Pokemon universe after two Arceus appeared at once, while other fans were admiring the beauty of the game design and art style. Luckily, the player noted that they only endured two days of soft resets while hunting for the shiny Arceus, unlike another Pokemon player who waited 10 years to catch a shiny Shaymin.
Fresh leaks have addressed the upcoming and anticipated arrival of the next pocket monster roster, specifying that Generation 10 Pokemon may be released on both the Switch 2 and its predecessor. Since Nintendo’s successor console is thankfully backward compatible, that means trainers will be able to play Switch 1 Pokemon games on the new hardware. Furthermore, fans should mark February 27, 2025, in their calendars, as information on future Pokemon games is expected to be revealed during the Pokemon Presents event.
