The newest addition to the Pokemon spin-off game franchise is Pokemon Friends, a puzzle game for Nintendo Switch and mobile that was a surprise reveal during the July 2025 Pokemon Presents. In this cozy and straightforward title, players complete daily Pokemon-themed puzzles to collect different types of yarn as a reward.

Yarn can then be used to craft different Pokemon plushies for decorating your in-game room. Each puzzle has a range of difficulties and levels to complete. As you complete more difficult levels, you will be able to earn more yarn to put into the Plush-O-Matic. In Pokemon Friends, there are a number of different puzzles available for players to experience on a daily basis. When playing puzzle games, you usually participate in three minigames, with each one offering multiple stages for you to complete. Depending on how well you do in each puzzle, you will receive a larger quantity of yarn that can then be used to make adorable plushies of fan-favorite monsters to decorate your space. Many puzzle games are available as part of the free base game, but others may require additional purchases of DLC content packs to unlock them.
