An artist created a selection of earrings inspired by Gen 1 Pokemon for their wife, sharing the intricate pieces of jewelry with the community. The Pokemon fandom is known for being particularly artistic, with fans of the games and anime series consistently sharing their works online and inspiring others to try their hand at bringing their favorite creatures to life in unique and sometimes unexpected ways.

2025 is already shaping up to be a packed year for the legendary franchise, and a Pokemon Presents livestream happening later this month will reveal even more information about the series' future. Scheduled to air on July 22 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, fans can likely expect to hear more about Pokemon Legends: Z-A, with the title slated to be released for both the original Switch and Switch 2 in October. The exact content of the event remains a mystery, though a more in-depth look at the battle simulator Pokemon Champions and details about upcoming patches for the mobile titles Pokemon TCG Pocket, Pokemon GO, and Pokemon Sleep will potentially be revealed.

Artist Shows Off Pokemon Tattoo of Arcanine Fighting Gyarados

A talented artist shows off a Pokemon tattoo of the Fire-type Arcanine doing battle with the Water-type Gyarados, and it’s seriously impressive.

In a new Reddit post, user Nabcester shared images of six pairs of Gen 1-inspired earrings they made for their wife, depicting Staryu, Oddish, Koffing, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Tangela. The intricate Pokemon earrings were 3D printed using a light resin, making them easy to wear, with the lightest pair weighing only two grams and the heaviest weighing five grams. The user also hand-painted each set, and despite claiming that they "aren't very good yet," the comments section is filled with praise for the unique creations. Nabcester also sells their work and currently accepts requests for any creature up to Gen 4.

Artist Creates Gen 1 Pokemon Earrings for Their Wife and Wows the Community

From fan art and jewelry to tattoos and custom sneakers, Pokemon fans never seem to run out of ways to share their love of the franchise. Earlier this year, one artist shared a collection of Pokemon collages they had made using everyday objects, while another created their own version of Michelangelo's painting The Creation of Adam featuring Mew and Arceus.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the sequel to the 2013 titles Pokemon X and Y, will be released for both the Switch and Switch 2 on October 16. In the meantime, the next major expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket is rumored to be coming before the end of July, and the next Max Battle Weekend event in Pokemon GO will feature Dynamax Latios and Dynamax Latias. The event will be held on July 26 and July 27.
