A new leak making the rounds online claims to reveal details about the Generation 10 Pokemon games, but fans should take the information with a grain of salt. The Generation 9 Pokemon games, Scarlet and Violet, released all the way back in 2022, and so franchise fans are due for the next generation to hit store shelves.

Some expected the Generation 10 Pokemon games to be revealed at the most recent Pokemon Presents event, but the games were a no-show. It's since been claimed by reputable sources that the Gen 10 Pokemon games will be revealed at the next Pokemon Presents event, expected to take place on February 27, 2026. At that point in time, Pokemon fans will get their first look at what the Gen 10 games have in store, and if previous Generation reveals are any indication, they will also get a look at the new starters.

What the Gen 10 Pokemon Starters Look Like, Based on the Leak

Recently, a post on 4chan claimed to reveal details about the Generation 10 Pokemon games. Normally, 4chan leaks would be immediately disregarded, but there have been legitimate Pokemon leaks from the site in the past. Even so, fans should definitely take any of the supposedly leaked claims with a massive grain of salt. Still, they are interesting to consider, and it will be fun to see if the "leaks" matched up with anything legitimate once the games are actually revealed. One of the most interesting bits of the leak claims that the Generation 10 Pokemon starters will consist of a Grass/Fighting wooden horse, a Fire/Psychic Phoenix, and a Water/Ghost "dead skin of a snake."

It's long been rumored that the Generation 10 Pokemon games will be set in a region inspired by Greece, and so it's no surprise for the starters to stick with that theme. According to the 4chan post, the new region is called Xenia and will consist of multiple islands. The region's mascot legendaries will supposedly be a flying horse that's a pure Flying-type, and a horse with fins that's a pure Water-type. There will also supposedly be a Normal-type goat, a Bug-type ant, a Bug/Poison-type mosquito, and Water/Flying-type Kingfisher.

As has been the norm for the last few generations, Pokemon Gen 10 is also rumored to feature new takes on existing creatures. These will apparently consist of a new evolution for Hoothoot and Noctowl that will be a Psychic/Flying-type, as well as an Electric-type variant of Meowth. The battle gimmick is described as "hyper-abilities" given by Divine Pokemon, sometimes leading to new forms. An example given in the leak is a Divine Raichu that's an Electric/Dark-Type.

Pokemon Fan Designs Their Own Raichu Card

The leak goes on to say that the evil team in the Gen 10 Pokemon games are known as "Kratos," which would be a red flag considering the God of War games, but someone named Kratos does exist in Greek mythology. Oddly, the leak claims that the games will have "no competitive scene" and that there will be "cross-breeding" with an example given being Gligar and Litleo becoming a manticore. These are the most difficult-to-believe claims in the supposed leak, and again, fans shouldn't put too much stock into any of this, but it will be fun to see how much it all matches up to the real deal, if at all.
