Pokemon Generation 10 Region and More Leak Online
The leaked information, shared to Twitter by Centro Leaks, claims that the Generation 10 Pokemon games will be called Pokemon Winds and Waves. According to the leak, the theme of the games is "infinity" and they are set in a region based on southeast Asia and Indonesia. It seems the new battle gimmick is "weather moves," but some of the info is relying on machine translations and may not be totally accurate to what will be featured in the final product. Details about the various human characters in the game have also leaked, but there are story spoilers that come with that info that we won't be repeating here. And finally, if the leaks are to be believed, Pokemon Winds and Waves will be Switch 2 exclusives.
It's expected that the Generation 10 Pokemon games will be officially revealed on Pokemon Day, which is held annually on February 27. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet released in 2022, and so it's definitely about time for the Generation 10 Pokemon games to be announced. Still, it's possible that Pokemon Day will be used to announce other Pokemon projects, so fans should definitely keep their expectations in check.
And while this latest leaked information does appear to be legitimate, it's always best to treat these kinds of things with a grain of salt. All we know for sure about what's next for the Pokemon franchise is that Pokemon Legends: Z-A is launching later this week, on October 16. Pokemon Legends: Z-A will have Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions available, with the latter enjoying performance boosts, but otherwise the content between the two games is identical. We also know that Pokemon Legends: Z-A will also have a post-launch DLC released at some point, but it's possible that it will be out well before Pokemon Day takes place next year.
