During Pokemon GO Fest 2024, players will have a chance to battle Necrozma in raids, and it can this Pokemon can then be in its Dawn Wings or Dusk Mane forms. Once a player catches a Necrozma, they can gather Fusion Energy to fuse Necrozma with either Lunala or Solgaleo to transform the Pokemon into those forms. (Players also have a limited amount of time to get free Fusion Energy.) Here's a breakdown of the two forms:
- Dawn Wings Necrozma: Necrozma fused with Lunala will have this form. It will know Moongeist Beam.
- Dusk Mane Necrozma: Necrozma fused with Solgaleo will have this form. It will know Sunsteel Strike.
Dawn Wings Necrozma's Moongeist Beam Adventure Effect Explained
The Moongeist Beam Adventure Effect can be used by using 3,000 Stardust and 3 Necrozma Candies, and will last for 10 minutes. However, using more Stardust and Candy, players can increase it in increments of 10 all the way to 2 hours at one time, and players can reactivate it multiple times, up to 24 hours total. Like Incense, Moongeist Beam will attract specific Pokemon to your location, specifically Pokemon available at night. Pokemon that evolve at night are also able to evolve during this time. Here's a list of some of the Pokemon you can encounter during this time:
- Alolan Rattata
- Clefairy
- Alolan Marowak
- Gligar
- Galarian Zigzagoon
- Lunatone
- Munna
- Amaura
- Rockruff (which may be able to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc)
The effect cannot be active with other Adventure Effects or Incenses, Mystery Boxes, and the Coin Bag.
