Pokemon GO is organizing an all-new Halloween Cup: Little Edition to mark the onset of its Halloween festivities in the game. The spooky season is here, and Niantic has tons of surprises in store for the community.
The Max Out season has been one of the biggest seasons in Pokemon GO so far, with a plethora of exciting features rolling out in the game. After the debut of the Dynamax mechanic, the developers also announced that Morpeko will be debuting as part of the Halloween Part 1 event. Amid that, it seems like an exciting GO Battle League tournament is also on the radar.
Best Teams For Halloween Cup: Little Edition
The unique requirements of the Halloween Cup: Little Edition make it one of the most exciting GO Battle League events. Firstly, players will have a CP restriction of 500, and all Pokemon should remain under that to be eligible to participate. Secondly, only Poison, Bug, Ghost, Dark, and Fairy-type Pokemon are allowed for the event, which should push players to employ their creativity. Additionally, players shouldn't just solely focus on these four types, as type combinations can easily turn the tide of the battle. As far as XL candies are concerned, players won't need them for most of their Pokemon.

As is the case with other leagues, it is crucial to note that players should build a team that can balance out the weaknesses of each other. For instance, three Pokemon in the top ten are Poison types, so players should make sure they have good enough counters for Ground and Psychic-type moves. That's where players should use the likes of Shuckle, Marill, and Greninja to neutralize the threats against the Poison-type Pokemon.
Apart from Poison types, Dark-type Pokemon seem to be dominating the meta for the Halloween Cup: Little Edition as well. Inkay and Pawniard along with Galrian Zigzagoon, which recently got its Shadow variant added to the game as part of the Team GO Rocket event, are really good options as they can effectively counter Dark, Psychic, and Ghost-type moves.
As far as the must-haves are concerned, the extremely low CP requirement makes bulky Pokemon even more valuable. As a result, players should definitely have either Shuckle or Marill on the team. If players choose to have them on the team, then having Marill will be a great addition to counter Shuckle, which fans will see a lot in the game given that it sits comfortably at the number one spot.
