Pokemon GO boxes have been criticized in the past for sometimes not really giving players much value, but there was one box that seemed to be universally loved by the community.
Last month, Pokemon GO was selling the Boost Box for 400 coins. It featured five Premium Battle Passes, five Super Incubators, a Pokemon storage increase, and an item bag increase. If one were to purchase an item bag or Pokemon storage increase individually, they would be spending 200 coins a pop, meaning that the Boost Box gave players significant value. For the price it would take to buy a storage increase and item bag on their own, players were also treated to five Super Incubators and five Premium Battle Passes. The box wasn't long for this world, unfortunately, and now Pokemon GO players are reminiscing about it on Reddit.

In a post by Reddit user Charg3B0lt, many Pokemon GO players left comments praising the Boost Box. One player even said that the box made them break their status as a strictly free-to-play player. Others said that they bought the limit of all three Boost Boxes and would have purchased more if they were allowed. It's speculated that the box was added to the Pokemon GO shop in error, which is why Niantic didn't sell it for very long and also why it has yet to return to the game.
It's unclear if the Boost Box will ever make its way back to Pokemon GO. For now, Pokemon GO players will have to be satisfied with the other boxes that are available in the game, or buy what they want individually.
