Pokemon GO: Castform Spotlight Hour And Bonuses
Trainers can participate in the Castform Spotlight Hour event from Tuesday, January 2, at 6 PM to Tuesday, January 2, at 7 PM Local Time. Players can catch numerous Castform due to its increased spawn rate during the 1 hour from 6 PM to 7 PM. There is also a Special Bonus of 2× Pokemon GO Catch XP during the event’s runtime.
Since Shiny Castform is available as a wild spawn, players can also encounter it. Use the increased spawn rate to encounter numerous Castform and match its Shiny odds. Players can use in-game items to increase the already boosted Castform spawn rate further.
How To Get A Shiny Castform In Pokemon GO
To catch up to a monster’s Shiny odds, one must encounter multiple Standard variants. The more Castform spawns, the faster players may match its Shiny odds, but the Shiny encounter isn’t guaranteed. Pokemon GO items like Lure Modules, Incense, and the Weather Boost effect can help to increase the wild spawn rate.
While Lure Modules attach to a PokeStop and boost the wild spawn rate around the area, Incense attaches to players and boosts the wild spawn rate wherever they walk. Regarding Weather Boost, it is a passive effect that increases the wild spawn rate around areas with specific weather conditions. Players can use these elements simultaneously to stack their effects and notably boost the Pokemon spawn rate in the wild.
Castform’s wild spawn rate increases around areas with partly cloudy weather. One must find a Pokemon GO PokeStop or Gym in partly cloudy weather and attach a Lure Module to it. Once it is done, activate an Incense and walk around that specific PokeStop or Gym. Doing so will stack their effects and significantly boost the wild spawn rate around that area.
Those who manage to spawn many Castform and catch up to its Shiny odds might encounter a Shiny Castform. But despite all the efforts, the Shiny encounter still isn't guaranteed. While some Pokemon GO players might encounter a Shiny Castform, others might not.
