The Completely Normal event in Pokemon GO will kick off on Tuesday, September 23, at 10 am local time and will end on September 27 at 8 pm local time. The big deal about this event is that not only will Dudunsparce make its debut in the mobile game, but trainers can encounter way more Normal-type Pokemon than usual. Some of the Pokemon that will have increased spawns include Dunsparce (of course), Buneary, Teddiursa, and Pidgey.

Since the Normal-type Pokemon Dunsparce (and its evolution, Dudunsparce) take the focus during the Completely Normal event, you can look forward to literally every reward for the Timed Research to be nothing but Dunsparce encounters.
As for the Field Research, you'll get encounters with various Normal-types and some other goodies.

All Collection Challenges for Completely Normal (Very Normal, Fairly Normal, and Quite Normal)
And last but not least, there are three collection challenges for you to complete during the 'Completely Normal' event in Pokemon GO. For the first one, you just need to evolve Dunsparce into Dudunsparce by feeding it 50 Candy. You will get 5000 XP and a Lure Module for completing this one.
For the Fairly Normal collection challenge, you must catch a Buneary and evolve it into Lopunny, which also just requires 50 Candy. Once you do so, you will earn 5000 XP and an encounter with Dunsparce.
And for the Quite Normal challenge, you just need to catch a Pidgey, evolve it into Pidgeotto with 12 Candy, and then evolve Pidgeotto into Pidgeot with 50 more Candy. For this one, you will also get 5000 XP and another encounter with Dunsparce.
