Another December is here and Pokemon GO is celebrating yet another year of successful Community Day events. The mobile AR game is continuing its annual tradition and offering players a chance to enjoy a two-day Community Day weekend full of returning spotlight Pokemon.
The December 2022 Pokemon GO Community Day is going to be a particularly exciting one for a handful of reasons. In addition to a really powerful collection of bonuses that are going to make playing during the event window very rewarding in terms of Stardust and Candy collection efforts, the event also includes the return of every featured Community Day Pokemon from the calendar year. That means one more chance to stock up on Candy and hopefully catch some more shiny Pokemon before the new year arrives.
The extended event includes a bit more for players to keep track of during the Community Day activities. Trainers may want to take some extra time to look ahead and play for each of the bonuses and decide which exclusive moves and Pokemon they are going to be most focused on...

From 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time (despite some recent complaints about the length of Community Day events)

Shiny Variant
Niantic usually doesn’t confirm the shiny chance until after the event has started, but keep an eye out for all the shiny Pokemon while hunting. They’ve been a part of every other Community Day and Community Day Classic event, so we fully expect to see them this month, as well.
With all of that information in mind, trainers should be ready to set out for December's Community Day when it arrives. Keep an eye on the clock and be careful not to miss the window on those Exclusive Moves before the evolution period ends!
Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
