In Pokemon GO, there are constantly new events coming and passing through the game with each season to help keep things fresh as part of the live-service format. These events can range from anything from Spotlight Hours and Raid Days, which frequently occur on a regular basis, to one-time opportunities to celebrate special occasions.

To celebrate Day of the Dead, the Dia de Muertos event has returned to Pokemon GO in 2024 during the Max Out Season. In Pokemon GO, the Dia de Muertos event for 2024 is a location-specific event for Latin America. The Dia de Muertos event will run from November 1, 2024, at 10 AM local time, to November 4, 2024, at 8 PM local time. During this period of time, players will notice an increased presence of Team GO Rocket members, as well as a number of handy event bonuses that they can use to maximize growth of resources and player level during the event.

  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
  • 2x Catch XP
  • 2x Catch Stardust
  • Confetti will appear on the map after sunset, between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM local time
  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear every 2 hours
  • Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokeStops
  • A new Team GO Rocket-themed confetti sticker will debut
