Pokémon is notorious for having various evolutionary methods (some of which are downright bizarre). It should come as no surprise to learn that Pokémon GO continues this tradition by having trainers collect evolutionary items to ensure that their Pokémon can evolve to be the strongest version of themselves that they can be.
In the game, players can find up to eight different items that can evolve their Pokémon, and seven of these are regular evolutionary items that are found throughout the game via spinning Pokéstops and completing certain Timed Research. Here's a breakdown of every evolutionary item and what Pokémon they can evolve.

These shinies are the kinds that will turn the heads of any trainer if they see one in Pokemon GO.
How To Get Evolutionary Items & What They Evolve In Pokémon GO
In order to obtain evolutionary items, players will need to spin Pokéstops and complete Timed Research. For the Pokéstops, each time a player spins one, they will have a 1% chance of obtaining any of the seven evolutionary items (Gimmighoul Coins are not included in this equation). However, the first spin of the day does increase the odds of obtaining an evolutionary item, but that is just once a day. Finally, spinning Pokéstops seven days in a row ensures that players obtain at least one evolutionary item, though they cannot guarantee which one.
