Pokemon GO's Evolving Stars event adds several new Field Research tasks to the game, and players can access them by spinning PokeStops. Specifically, there are eight Evolving Stars Field Research tasks in Pokemon GO, and the vast majority of them fall into one of three categories. For those players that would like to know more about these tasks and their associated rewards, a complete list can be found in this guide.

As a quick point of clarification, Pokemon GO's Evolving Stars event is set to conclude on Tuesday, October 11 at 8pm local time. This means that players have less than one week to work on these event-exclusive Field Research tasks, and fans that are interested in its rewards are thus advised to get out there and start spinning PokeStops sooner rather than later.

500x Stardust

Evolve 3 Pokemon

2,000x Stardust

Power up Pokemon 5 Times

25x Aerodactyl Mega Energy, 25x Ampharos Mega Energy, 25x Kangaskhan Mega Energy, 25x Steelix Energy

Power up Pokemon 7 Times

25x Altaria Mega Energy, 25x Gyarados Mega Energy

Spin 15 PokeStops or Gyms

1x Sinnoh Stone

Spin 20 PokeStops or Gyms

1x Unova Stone

Of all of these tasks, it is those that award Mega Energy that are perhaps the most exciting. Indeed, the sources of Mega Energy in Pokemon GO are quite limited, and players that are trying to Mega Evolve an Aerodactyl, Altaria, Ampharos, Gyarados, Kangaskhan, or Steelix should not miss out on this opportunity to nab some of these resources. Fans may also be happy to claim some Sinnoh Stones and Unova Stones as they work on Evolving Stars Field Research tasks, though those evolution items are certainly not as rare as Mega Energy.

One final thing to note about this event-exclusive Field Research is that there are no catch encounters to be found among its rewards. That said, the second section of PoGO's Season of Light Special Research story, A Cosmic Companion, has also been released as part of the Evolving Stars event, and it does award some Pokemon encounters. There is also quite a bit of Cosmog Candy to be earned through A Cosmic Companion, and it can now be used to evolve the Psychic-type Pokemon into Cosmoem.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
